Here in Tennessee fall is in the air... With low 70* degree temps its call to start enjoying some of my favorite fall things. This morning I enjoyed a leisurely breakfast outside with two of my favorite girls. A nice cup of coffee and Pumpkin Scones with Chai Icing made it a perfect soon-to-be fall morning!

Brendon, Brooke and Tina
Pin It
Over the past two summers I've become close friends with Brendon and Brooke while working at camp together. Before I left Idaho Brendon, Brooke and their mom, Tina made time for a family photo shoot. We spent the evening at The Falls on Hayden Lake. Hayden Lake is honestly one of my favorite places in the world. It is so beautiful and Brendon and Brooke have been lucky enough to grow up there.
Some of my favorite pictures from the session are those we took in a field on the way down to the falls. The lighting was almost magical and the lake shined in the background. Pretty much a perfect evening on Hayden Lake!

Tiffany McMearty
Pin It
I'll never forget my first memory with Tiffany... We met in Argentina a couple years ago as Adventist Colleges Abroad students. The first morning at the school Tiff and I went to ask the lady in the cafe for soymilk but made the mistake of saying... "Soy leche" which means, "I am milk". We wondered why on earth the lady was looking at us so strange.
Since then we've found out how to correctly ask in Spanish for soy milk and have become best of friends. Tiff is so full of life and I always seem to find myself laughing till I almost cry when I am with her. She told me she wanted something fun for her senior pictures... how much more fun could you get then a Ferris Wheel themed shoot.

Just wanted to share with you my new favorite dessert... Raspberry White Chocolate Mousse Delight! When I was visiting my parents a couple weeks ago my mom and I came up with this creation as a take off from a dessert my Daddy loved. I can't even begin to tell you know perfect it is. You will just have to try it yourself.
Crust:
2 cup all purpose flour
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
1 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 400*.
With hands, mix all ingredients together and press into bottom of a 9 x 13 pan.
Bake 10-15 minutes or until light brown
Remove from oven and allow to completely cool.
* * *
White Chocolate Mousse:
2 bag of white chocolate chips
2-8 oz of cream cheese
1 pint of heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar
In a double broiler melt the white chocolate chips and cream cheese together until smooth.
Set aside to cool.
Whip the heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar together.
Once the chocolate/cream cheese mixture has cooled fold the whipped cream into it.
Pour over cooled crust.
* * *
2 pints Raspberries
Decorate the top of the mousse with raspberries.
Refrigerate for several hours to allow the mousse to set up.
Garnish with chocolate nibs if desired.

Hannah Hunt ~ Senior Pictures

Hannah is graduating from Collegedale Academy this year and I'm go glad she asked me to take her senior pictures! I've gotten to know her over the past couple years when hanging out with her cousins, who are good friends of mine. She is a sweet girl with a gorgeous smile. But I so enjoyed this opportunity to get to know her better. She brought along her friend, Taylor, who added to the fun! Congrats Hannah!

Josiah McIntosh ~ Senior Pictures

I worked with Josiah at MiVoden this summer and he is a super fun guy and rad skateboarder. Josiah is graduating from Upper Columbia Academy this year and I was really excited when he asked me to take his senior pictures. The shoot turned out to be quite the adventure when I fell through an abandon dock into a swamp, but at least we got some great pics and had a few laughs. Here is a preview of some of my favorites. Congrats Josiah!

Summer in Idaho!
This summer I am taking several weeks off to go work as a photographer at MiVoden, a summer camp in Northern Idaho. MiVoden is located near Lake Coeur d'Alane, which is featured in CNN's article 8 Perfect Summer Lake Towns. I am so fortunate to spend my summer here in this gorgeous part of the country and have a job I love. Thought I'd share some of my favorite pictures so far.
